How to create a Twitter List from a Hashtag?

Searching people on Twitter by hashtags they used is a great way to identify those who have similar interests. It could be a TV show, a political event or candidate, a new meme or trend, or people who's attending a conference. If you want to create a list of those people on using Twitter is a very long process with multiple clicks. A list of the just one hundred people who used a hashtag might take you ten minutes or more. Fear not!

Using Listpedia you can create a list of accounts using a hashtag in less than a minute and it's so easy you won't believe it. Here is how you do it

  1. Go to listpedia.org and click on Make List (you might need to sign in or sign up at this point), and select Twitter Lists.
  2. Give your list a name and click continue.
  3. Under the Enter Twitter Accounts or a link box, enter the hashtag you want it to search and find accounts using it and click add.

Listpedia will search Twitter for up to 250 accounts using that hashtag and automatically create add it to your list, and synchronize it real-time with your Twitter List.

Since this is powered by Twitter Search functionality, it might be that we can't identify more than 250 accounts at any given moment. If it's a hashtag that's very popular or an event that's happening at that very moment, you might want to do that again a few hours later to add more accounts to your list.

It's also a good idea to scan the accounts found to avoid adding spam accounts. It's not uncommon for Twitter Spammers to use a hashtag just to show up on trending topics.
